BBS – Behaviour Based Safety Guidelines for Training of Drivers and Safe Driving of Road Freight Vehicles
On this page you will find the Guidelines on BBS – Behaviour Based Safety published by the European Chemical Transport Association (ECTA).
BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) is a safety-oriented approach based on observed driver behaviour. Its aim is to strengthen awareness of safe conduct in road traffic through targeted training, feedback, and clear standards, thereby sustainably improving safety in road freight transport.
ECTA has developed practical guidelines that provide concrete recommendations both for driver training and for day-to-day safe driving behaviour on the road.
